About Me

I chose HealthPoint because of its mission to deliver high-quality, compassionate, and culturally responsive care to diverse populations. Having grown up in Uganda and worked across various resource-limited settings, I understand the critical importance of equity in healthcare and the power of community-based primary care. HealthPoint’s strong emphasis on social determinants of health, team-based care, and its integration of behavioral health and preventive services resonated deeply with my own values and aspirations as a physician. 

I was particularly inspired by the program’s commitment to training family physicians who not only provide excellent clinical care but also advocate for health justice. The opportunity to learn in a Federally Qualified Health Center setting, where I can work alongside multidisciplinary teams and serve patients from a wide array of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, aligns perfectly with my desire to be both a physician and a bridge between medical care and community needs. HealthPoint offers the kind of holistic, mission-driven training that will empower me to grow into a thoughtful, community-oriented physician leader.  My clinical interests include adult medicine, maternal child medicine, and whole family medicine. 

Outside the clinic, I enjoy quality time with family, window shopping for inspiration without pressure, socializing with peers, and watching spiritual music videos in my native language to stay grounded and spiritually nourished.
