At HealthPoint, gender-affirming care is an integral part of routine primary care. Gender-affirming care services are offered alongside wellness exams, preventive screenings, and treatment for acute and chronic health conditions. We aim to provide patient-centered care from an evidence-based perspective and an informed consent model. We combine these principles with specialty expertise, insurance coverage, and feedback from Transgender communities. We pride ourselves on our diverse team, where patients can be served by members of their community and dedicated allies.
We are working hard to grow and do our best to ensure that patients along the gender spectrum find a welcoming, supportive environment at all our clinics. We are in the process of ensuring that all staff have the training and resources to address every patient with the correct names and pronouns. All-gender bathrooms are available in our clinics.
Our services for LGBTQ+ patients include:
- Gender-affirming medications (estrogen, androgen blockers, testosterone, etc.) and injection instruction as needed
- Specialty referrals for gender-affirming surgeries (e.g. vaginoplasty, chest reconstruction, etc.) and procedures (e.g. speech therapy, electrolysis)
- Assistance obtaining mental health letters of support for gender-affirming procedures and referrals for internal or external behavioral health counseling as needed
- Coordinated care with our other specialty programs to address sexual health, substance use disorder, addiction medicine, and HIV.
