How many work hours are expected each week? Are there clinical vs. non-clinical hours?

This is a full-time position of 40 hours a week. Regular work hours are 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. There may be some evening or weekend hours for specialty rotations. Residents will also take calls twice a year. Clinical hours account for 80% of the time. There may be the need to work outside of regularly scheduled hours, as sometimes comes up with salaried positions.

How does the second year work?

Residents are placed in their second year at a HealthPoint clinic that has an opening for a family practice nurse practitioner.  It is the goal of the organization to retain our residents and transition them to permanent primary care providers.  HealthPoint will attempt to the best of its ability to work with location, schedule, and FTE requests down to 0.8 FTE, however, availability may be limited depending on the year.
