The HealthPoint Clinical Psychology Practicum and Pre-Internship Program offers an excellent opportunity to learn skills for behavioral health consultation in primary care. We typically have 1-2 practicum or pre-internship positions each training year. We tend to place pre-interns over practicum students as students who have had at least of year of clinical training. Our placement locations will vary.
This is an 11-12 month placement. Student schedules will be 16-20 hour/week on a Monday through Friday schedule to be arranged between the student and the clinic of placement. Some of our clinics are open late (until 7pm or 8pm) one to two evenings per week and students may be asked to work one late shift.
For questions about our Behavioral Health Practicum or Pre-Intern program please contact: Robert P. Allred, PhD, Behavioral Health Education Program Director at: rallred@healthpointchc.org.
Applicants must be currently enrolled in a PhD or PsyD program in clinical or counseling psychology.
